To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first spacewalk of a Canadian astronaut, a photo exhibition made up of 22 panels is on display in Ottawa on Plaza Bridge. The exhibition highlights Canada's participation in human spaceflight and its expertise in robotics.

Detailed description

This temporary exhibition, presented in partnership with Canadian Heritage, is about Canada's participation in human space flight.

It highlights the historic first space flight of Marc Garneau, the 25th anniversary of the first spacewalk of a Canadian astronaut (Chris Hadfield) and the Artemis II mission, while also showcasing Canada's expertise in space robotics.

At the same time, a pair of banners are on display along Confederation Boulevard. The first commemorates the 25th anniversary of Mission STS-100, during which Chris Hadfield went on a spacewalk. The second celebrates the success of Artemis II, the first lunar mission in which a Canadian astronaut has participated.
